Additional for Mail List Owners and Users!

NOTE: Anyone unable to unsubscribe from a mail list by using the information in the monthly reminder notices, please contact the mail list administrator or notify RCYSY Web Services that they wish to be removed. Your email address will be removed upon verifying that it is your email address that you are trying to remove.

List owners are responsible for maintaining a site in compliance with all anti-spam requirements. Some major points of compliance that must be met:

a. Each member must want to be on the list and must subscribe. This means there are no mass subscriptions and the subscriber must confirm their subscription to the list.

b. Each member must be informed of the ability to unsubscribe themselves from the list at any time. The monthly password reminders sent by the server do this quite well. List owners should also remove anyone requesting to be removed.

c. Any subscriber filing a spam complaint with their ISP about a mailing list post, will immediately have that email address placed in a purge file which will remove that email address from ALL mail lists on the servers. The individual subscriber can unsubscribe themselves if they do not wish to receive your lists content, they do not need to report it as spam as they have asked for it to be delivered!

d. Any mail list that places the server in jeopardy of being banned by an ISP or spam list will be removed from the server. This includes complaints of involuntary subscriptions to a list, spam reports or mass emailing. List owner will have 24 hours to correct/remove the list(s) in question or risk having their account suspended.

e. Any mail list that is not active for a period of 2 months or longer may be suspended

Procedure for reversing a USER removed due to their complaint:

Upon receiving a spam complaint from an ISP or Web host filed by a subscriber about an email from a mail list hosted on RCYSY Web Services, that email address will be placed into a purge file that will ensure that their email address is removed from every mail list on the RCYSY server.

In case of accidental complaint reporting, the following procedures will allow a person to re subscribe to mailing lists hosted on our servers as follows:

First time removal from purge file:
$5.00 fee to remove their email address from the purge list, and a written request stating their email address, and that they wish to be able to subscribe to a mailing list hosted on RCYSY Web Services server. Payment AND request must be received prior to removing email address from the purge file.

Second removal from purge file:
$20.00fee to remove their email address from the purge list, and a written request stating their email address, and that they wish to be able to subscribe to a mailing list hosted on RCYSY Web Services server. Payment AND request must be received prior to removing email address from the purge file.Explanation of how they will ensure that they will not report the server a third time must be included in this written request.

Third problem - There is no further ability for that email address to be on any lists hosted by RCYSY Web Services as they are risking reliable mail service for all of our users.
